I have shoulder-length hair, and both my sisters have very long hair too. We all bought cotton Do-Rags for our last trip, they work amazingly well. We found them for around $5 at a local gift shop in Bonaire (the dive shops had the lycra ones for something like $30!). I would put my hair in a ponytail then wrap overtop with the Do-Rag. We actually started with this because one of my sisters who was a brand new diver kept getting her hair stuck in the sides of her mask strap, nearly nessisitating a hair-cutting one day.
