I've got the 40# mach V stealth wing, Dive Rite STA, and DSS SS plate.

It doesn't need a STA, since it has the little supports to stop tank wobble, and cam band slots. But the addition of a STA really made my rig even more stable and got another couple pounds of lead off my belt.

Sweet and simple all around. Having the STA always mounted on my tank sure made getting the plate and wing off and on a helluva lot easier. For me at least.

YMMV

The new Mach V's do have cam slots and do not need STA's if your BP has slots.

Great Thanks for that info, Ive been trying to figure it out, but there seems to be so much conflicting info, scubatoys says they have no slots, Im gonna assume they havent updated their web site...anyway thanks:)

I've got an OxyCheq 30# Mach V and dive it with a DSS kydex plate. Great combination! I also use an OxyCheq lightweight STA, 2 Halcyon weight pockets on the upper camband and 2 weight pockets on the waist strap. Quite streamlined and no weight belt needed.

That is good to know. I was thinking about picking up a kydex plate, and I already have a Mach V that I wanted to use with it. Thanks for the info.
