cnctina:I have heard there are some good wrecks to dive on in the West Michigan area. What wrecks are there and how do I find them.
cnctina:Thanks Jeff,
Have you dove any wrecks off the Muskegon to Holland area.
Oldpirate:I wouldn't call it a pile of rubble yet, but it's not like it used to be. The stern of the ship used to be intact and upright. It's now collapsed on itself. The engines and boilers are still standing tall and proud, although host to many zebra mussels. The ship sits in 121 feet of water with the top of the twin engines and boilers at about 100 feet. The water clarity is quite a bit better than the "old days" but dependent on currents, etc. Have fun and be safe!
cnctina:Are the wrecks "State Of Michigan" and "Ironsides" marked with a bouey or do I use my GPS. I hear there's a barge 3 miles north of Muskegon in 30ft. Is this a good dive.
I also am told the Ironsides is for advanced divers, why?
