I have a bag of the "hose hats" at the store. I can give you a couple for you guys to try.

I doubt if a Si Tech hose would be crapping out so easily, their stuff is well built.
There are a lot of cheap Chinese hoses out there that sell for almost half the price so a lot of outfits are cutting corners.
If you have a Si Tech valve you can always convert it to the CEJN fitting, they're expensive but they're way more reliable, easy to connect & disconnect with 1 hand. (the CEJN is actually a hydraulic fitting, made to operate at much higher pressure)
Their ferrule is already shaped like a hose hat. :wink:
 
What on earth is a "hose hat" ?


FWIW i changed both my drysuit inflators to use the same connector as my wing. Makes it far easier with spares, field repairs and so on.
