The Gekko and Zoop are almost identical the only differences are that the Zoop is yellow and is downloadable out of the box (cable additional cost?), whereas the Gekko has to be hacked before you can down load. The Gekko and Zoop both have Nitrox capabilities. Neither have gauge mode.

I have owned a Suunto Mosquito, a Cressi Edy and a Gekko, the Gekko is my favourite, simple, robust, can change the battery myself, easy to read, the battery will not die and, the cherry on top, it fits in a DSS bungee mount which IMO is so much easier to put on and off. I am a rec OW diver. Good luck.
