Thanks to all who answered...LOTS of great information.

Here is what I think I am going to do. I ended up finding a gently used Aqualung Micra that I picked up for a good price. I know I need to get it serviced, but my LDS is an Aqualung dealer. I am going to buy the rest of the Octo, including the computer there, so I am going to ask them to service it. I think I will buy my daughters set up there as well (I am leaning toward an Aqualung Titan LX for her). not sure if I'll get her a computer yet, but might buy her a standard gauge set, with wrist computer.

After reading some of the posts, I am leaning toward purchasing the reg at the LDS due to being able to have it serviced there as well as the safety factor of her having a new reg.
