I am totally not tracking with why DD is posting or sharing any of this, except as a troll/attention getter. From the mini-training, to the animals, it all goes against what I would consider common sense/good practices. I dunno, maybe I've drank too much of the training agency/environmentalist koolaid...

Sorry, you don't like it. That is the way I dive and teach my kids.

The damage we do to the marine environment by driving in cars, running boats, using electricity, paving over our green space etc. is vastly more significant than touching an eel.

I get discouraged when people think that "touching an eel" is impactful when every day we make significant progress toward destruction of the environment and people don't want to acknowledge it.

honestly no matter what anybody has to say about the videos... DD has taught her well enough that she didn't panic & immediately bolt to the surface after being stung by the jelly like some divers especially children would in a situation like that... yes she was scared & in pain.. but she didn't panic.

We did dive No. 5 the other day. We added a pony bottle to the mix and worked on only a few skills. She's ready for a night dive soon, and then maybe we will be heading out on a boat for a 50 or 60 ft dive.

Still having fun with the Go Pro 3 plus and a tray system and twin 890 lumen wide angle lights..

We did dive No. 6 a few weeks ago. I figured she is ready for a dusk and night dive. I allowed her twin 15 -yr old brother to pretty much lead the dive and I followed for the most part. She did better than I expected - with minimal extra instruction..

She is probably ready for some open ocean dives in a little deeper water.
