Terry, my husband still uses his original NASDS card - issued in 1970. He had to take a 2nd OW class because his 1st Instructor couldn't issue one. Son has scanner so I can't add a photo of it, but it looks just like Gary's.

Me - NAUI 1999

nice to see so many "old timers"

i have a very new PADI card, September, 2001 (my first)

(i got it before 9-11. needless to say, 9-11 pretty much ruined any joy i
had in getting the card...it was a bad couple of months)

My original NAUI cert from 1979 is filed away somewhere in the garage.

Short timer here.....PADI OW Feb. 1998. Several more after that.

C-card? What's that? I dove from 1961-62 until 1969 without one. When I moved from the Midwest to California, it was required so I got an L. A. County certification that year. Still have the original. See scan on my web site at:

Hmmm... and I thought my 1997 card was relatively "old". Oh well, at least I can say it's 20th century.

My old NAUI from 62 is MIA but here is my one from 66. No not route 66, the year!

The text on it got us out of a DUI once. Yup, just once. The skipper found out and said the next time anyone tries that they WILL ride the chamber for 72 hours and exit the next inferior pay grade. We didn't get testy with him.

Also notice De instead of Re.

And some of us old farts try and use the computer. :D
