inch-pounds? Is that like 0.11 newton meters?

Yep about 0.113.

I found it useful to do several with a torque wrench and crowfoot, until I had a feel for it. Now I just snug them up with an open ended wrench.

Tighten it up about one umph shy of a grunt !!!

This about sums it up :D I had to take my reg out and verify... yup, it is one "oomph", but YMMV.

Thanks for all the humorous advice! :D

I set my internal torque wrench to "one umph short of a grunt" and tightened away. The empirical evidence is that I didn't have any leaks on my dives (at least in the short term). To check, I pressurized the system, turned the air off and let the tank/reg sit for a while. The reading on the SPG didn't change over that interval.

Got to do 5 dives this weekend on the wrecks in the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and didn't have any problems. Wrecks were great and everyone came back safe.
