Now you got me sketching. Im looking at an 80"x80"x24" cabinet and incorporated mike_s's idea of the roll in drying rack. I found one that's perfect at Bed Bath & Beyond's web site (commercial garment rack 75.75" H x 35.5" W x 17.5" D) for 89.99. Not the cheapest one out there, but it was the right size and had a shelf at the bottom.
I shortened the cabinet from the 8' height because of the added shelf space on the side. A 4'x8 cabinet left only no storage space after leaving room for the garment rack.
