Having lost my Dad not long ago, your words had me alternately .. remembering, chuckling & crying ..

I am very sorry for your loss. It sounds like he was a truly wonderful man. Thanks for sharing your story. It will make those of us who are fortunate to still have their parents appreciate how lucky we are. I think I'm going to call my dad right now and tell him I love him.
 
I can't put into my words what I feel after reading this. My heart is mixed with joy and sadness as I read your post. Thank you for sharing this, life is to be celebrated, even in loss.
