Hi, I'm new to the site, just found it surfin' around. Tonnes of info but I don't see much NJ info. or is it just that I haven't found it yet. I'm new to diving, new to NJ and looking to do some shore diving (not too deep). Any ideas? I guess I'm looking for an experienced buddy too. Thanks!

Thanks for the help...Looks like I've got a lot of learning to do. Its not as simple as just walking off the beach.

look at "L" st on the bay in belmar or the r.r. bridge in point pleasant. the tide there at the bridge can be tricky at times for someone unfamiliar. then check out shark river inlet. it's my favorite shore dive, especially in the fall when the tropicals get washed up on the gulfstream.

Im looking for a buddy for my first shore dive for friday 7/15. I was hoping to find someone who knew the area? Maybe do 2 or 3 dives...are there any dive shops close to the decent locations? If you wanna head out to the beach im game but theres always dutch. Send me a PM, I check them multiple times per day.

Thanks
-Matt

Yeah what he said i dive L street all the time and the R/R bridge in p.p too These are great places to dive and just hang under the water except for the R.R bridge on hot days the kids jump off its pretty funny when your under and you see them hit the water and quickly start kicking thier feet to get out of the water

How about the manasquan inlet?
