If my luggage gets delayed, at least I will have my regulator and computer with me, so I can still dive with my most important dive gear. Also "$$ shiny things $$ "have been known to disappear from TSA locked bags, better to hand carry.

I get small expensive items will be taken, you think a 4 pound reg with 6 feet or more of hoses will easily fit into someones pocket? Also, shiny things resale values are better. The crooks do not know what a nice expensive reg vs junk would be, no?
