I just got done rebooting after the infamous BSOD... brought on by trying to take a look at Suunto's article on their website.
BAD omen, and its sad to see a decent company team up with an outfit that's incapable of turning out a bug-free piece of software.

If Suunto really wanted to do something useful they would work on palm pilot software and a palm interface for their dive computers.

Something wrong with my software...

And Roli's interface...

... In short, the answer is yes  but it does work.

Now palmOS on a dive computer. That would be nice.

Your software is for the Stinger and I have a Vyper and a Mosquito. The link to the interface is for a serial interface. I already have one of those. I'm looking for an interface that will plug directly into a palm device, or an adapter that will allow my serial interface to plug into it. I've been doing research on the Internet but so far I've been frustrated.

My lead plugs straight from the palm to the stinger, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Whatever you do it'll have to be a serial interface as that is how Suunto dive computers communicate.

The roli interface works fine with a Palm. The Suunto one is much harder to get working.

My application was written using Cobra data and a bit of hacking. The Vyper and the Mozzie use a similar protocol and might work. There is another bit of software that is compatible with more computers:

The ten pin connector on older palms is basically a 9 pin D connector with a power pin (not connected on battery models). On later models it is a combined USB and serial connector.

you have three options:

Put a palm plug on the interface instead of a D plug

Keep the D plug (so you can use it with your pc) and make a special palm cable (D to palm)

Keep the D plug and make a 'gender bender' to connect the inteface to your hotsync lead
