That's what the balanced/adjustable is for!:D

No, they go with the pilot. Who not want to get caught mixing metal and plastic. But I might consider converting the G250 to unbalanced.

[Adjusts balls so that typing can be done more comfortably] .... Where to begin with this, on the psychiatrist's couch?

Been diving for 39+ years...most of those years with Connies... Have done commercial work in harbors - [filthy, stinkin' harbors] so know a thing or two about the value of sealed [Supreme] first stages.... Currently DM at my LDS [I DM in the gear sold by my shop, purchased/obtained from their rental gear - I wouldn't subject my vintage Connies or other gear to swimming pool chlorine]...Love my Connies [XII, XIV, SE,14, ProDiver/Royal] also love my Swimaster/Voit/Mares MR-12s and ScubaPro MkV-R109s....Can't beat a Connie for dependable service under adverse conditions... They just don't break, are easy to rebuild, can get parts for them anywhere on Earth...Always use a Connie when doing Open Water DM work, why? Because I can devote 100% of my attention to my students, never a worry about my equipment, whether it is in 40 degree water, at 100 feet, during a night dive, or a combination of all of these...My family dives too...Spouse uses an older Aqualung Legend, one child an Aqualung Kronos, the other child a Mares Abyss MR-22 [spiritual successor to the MR-12]...The Legend and Kronos can trace their heritage to the Conshelf...Nuff Said

I got this US Divers supreme recently and can anyone explain why the exhaust was widened and is screwed in to the body instead of the standard welding?

I would be interested to see inside.... that screw on flange and the exhaust T are of a Kirby-Morgan Superflow 350 (and USD origanally made the KB second stages), but the Superflow has and adjustment knob that yours doesn't. I have a suspicion that you have an early Screw on T Conshelf that someone modded with the Superflow flange and T. If what I suspect is true, under that flange will be either another exhaust spider or signs that an original exhaust spider was cut out.

Respectfully,

James

James, are you familiar with the KM superflows and Connies? I'm wondering what parts are interchangeable between the two. Someone here installed the KM roller demand lever into a conshelf and I thought that was a nice little touch.

I'm familiar with Connie's of all variety, but never had my hands on a KM super flow. I do know that Aqualung originally made the super flow for KM, and I thought I heard that the vast majority of parts are interchangeable. Of course, now I'm looking at a DIY mod for side port Connie's to do a super flow style adjuster knob.....
