Okay,

I know there is a way to simply post a link to a thread but, unfortunatly, I dunno how to do it. If you go up to search & type in "June 2cnd Venice Beach Meet and Greet Dive 9:00 am" it should:eyebrow: take you to an old thread that has the directions printed in the first post. We will be at Alhambra. Some of us will be arriving at 8:30 & others around 9:30. Just look for the folks with the dive tanks. :D

From the North
Head to Venice on I 75. Take exit 200 (SR681) and follow it to US 41 where you'll turn left (south). Take US 41 to Business US 41 (Tamiami Trail) where you turn right. After you cross the bridge, you'll turn right on Venice Ave. Turn left at the first light (Harbor). Turn right at the 5th street (Alhambra). Park on the street as close to the dead end as possible. Be careful not to block the driveway to the condo. Observe the no parking signs. Keep your dive between the culverts to the south and the three pine trees to the north.
From the South
Head to Venice on I 75. Take exit 193 and head SW (coming from the south that’s a left turn) on Jacaranda. Turn right on Venice Ave. Stay on Venice Ave until after you’ve crossed the bridge to the downtown area. Turn left at the second light after the bridge (Harbor). Turn right at the 5th street (Alhambra). Park on the street as close to the dead end as possible. Be careful not to block the driveway to the condo. Observe the no parking signs. Keep your dive between the culverts to the south and the three pine trees to the north.
You will want to unload your gear at the dead end the go find a curb side parking space being careful not to block any driveways.

Here is a link to that thread.

What you do is open the link in another window...copy the link...come back to your post, highlight the words you want to link with your mouse, click on the icon that looks like a globe with a chain, and paste the link into the little box that comes up and then click OK.

I have a canoe named "Gator Bait" :D

Well, if we are playing "can you top this"...my second boat was an ocean racer with twin engines...purchased around the time that the drink "Slow Comfortable Screw" was popular*...I named the boat "Two Fast Screws."

*Boy oh boy am I showing my age
**We took the boat to the Keys for a summer, the next summer we came back and saw two other boats with that name!!
