my wife and i have been married almost 5 years (in August), have been together
12 years, and we love it . . . we've had our ups and downs, but we love each other
much, much more today than we did then.

also...er... how should i say this... we still got that loving feelin'

Ah you know i am only kidding you, i hope my relationship lasts that well into our "later" years!

BTW, the stress at work let up some, so now i am back to a more sarcastic/stupid mood - if you hadnt have guessed.

I don't think you lose it...I just think it changes with time. The difference also is how much you are working at it. In my past relationship things just became a habit and then they fizzle out. In my now relationship we are both working on keeping that fire burning :07:

yup, there is nothing deadlier than habit. you can't
take people or their gifts to you for granted, or they
go away, that's for sure...

Sarcasm and stoopidity? From Sim? Ha! Wit and rhetoric maybe  And yeah, see, you noticed my wife and I are affectionate. You missed the tickling!

Steve, Andy - couldnt agree more!

Are you saying that the only reason you are still with your wife is that she gives you gifts all the time - how self-centred and materialistic is that!

Yes relationships take work, even those that seem great to start with, some take far more than others - those possibly arent meant to be...
