Well ScubaBoard of course

Seriously, if you are looking for a dive buddy in your own area or perhaps you will be in another town or even another country for a few days and are looking to buddy up with someone, don't be shy, start a thread. Perhaps you are looking to dive with some more experienced than yourself? Let us know. Many of us are always looking for new buddy's to join us and were always happy to show others around.

You can use the link below to find the area you are going to be diving and go from there.

Personally, once I found ScubaBoard, my diving grew exponentially. I'll be coming up on 500 dives soon, most of which I have done with other SB'ers. We really have a great group here, very welcoming. So take the plunge, make a post, and happy diving. :)

Well said. I have found and continued to find and plan trip with new and old buddies. SB is an underrated resource in that regard IMO. The wealth of informtion, depth of explanation and good natured "regulars" make this internet community so impressive.
Cheers, Dive safe and you'll dive happy

I remember finding dive buddies right after I joined here. I have gotten to see all kinds of divers and most of them have been GREAT!

Too bad I didn't know about scuba board when I started diving, would have been much easier. At the beginning I had trouble to find dive buddies, I wanted to dive so much and the guys I dove with then worked during the day and could dive only some times and night time only. I love night dives but wanted to dive more.
Now I dive with my son and daughter whenever we want and it's so much fun.

wish I could get my son to dive more. Thankfully, I have my SB family to fill in

I found my mentor here on ScubaBoard, and I have made a number of lasting friendships from contacts that started here. I've been royally entertained in places ranging from Monterey to Florida by people I met through this board, and done some amazing diving as a result. I've also had the pleasure of playing escort and tour guide for a number of SB members who have visited our neck of the woods. The internet is an amazing networking resource.

I can honestly say that most all of my dive buddies in South Florida, as well as when we travel anywhere in the world, are ScubaBoarders! It's been a great time here on SB, great fun, friends, and dive buddies!

Hi everyone,
I was first certified twelve years ago, and I have to say that if I had a 'buddy' to dive with perhaps I would've stayed with it, as opposed to just now getting back into it and going for my AOW. I also blame myself for not keeping up with it but, if I had a 'buddy,' I may not have stopped right after certification. I think a 'dive-buddy' is much more than just someone to dive with. Anyway..I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I hope all is well with everyone. Happy diving!!!
