BTW, your quote of Pete says that the originator of a thread should be notified if it's pulled and that most deletions get notified.

yes... but that's kinda splitting hairs as the reply is about a thread that was deleted and not a post. but he does refer to a post also being deleted.

I mean if "bob" started a thread and "john" had a post deleted because he posted a dirty pic, doesn't really matter to the original poster "bob" that the dirty pic post got deleted. It's "john" that you need to deal with.

All this over a picture of a few lobsters!!!:confused::shakehead:

yeah... odd how one deleted post can generate so many other posts. At least this one was educational for some folks. :D

but I think we can stick a fork in this one... :dancinglock:

I want to see a tank explode.

Perhaps the Mod's should have to re-read the Modiquette on a semi-annual basis to remind themselves of the rules and intent.

Once again Jax, notification of the deleted posts were made in the thread.

If you wished to pursue the issue further via PM, you could have sent one to the Mod in question like I suggested to you earlier in the thread.

It is unlikely that we are going to send out 15 separate PM's to individual users during a large thread cleanup when a single Mod Post will suffice and in my opinion it's a bit unreasonable to expect that.

What?!?!? This is almost as fun as Shark Week! :popcorn:

OK someone here sucks.....I had a post deleted.

The way I read the quote you provided is that if a thread got deleted the OP should be notified. The OP of a thread doesn't need to be notified if someone else has a post deleted.

<snicker>

I am part of the gang now.....oh wait. The rest of the gang did not get a PM :D. I'm special.

Exactly!!!

Um, aren't you the one making an issue out of it? If you weren't voicing concerns then there wouldnt be anything for me to address, no?
