I need help in finding a replacement cap for my Mares MC 1 computer. I have tried LP and they are telling me that Mares no longer makes the cap??? The computer is six years old and still works great, however the cap leaks and water gets into the compartment now. Have tried new o-rings and no luck. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to revisit this festering issue; but I've just been all over the Mares website and have a similar frustration in finding nobody to contact.

The retailer search is great; but the results seem to be pretty useless as they are out of date - the stores listed don't stock Mares gear.
I'm in Australia, and it's almost a universal response when you walk into a store here that "they don't stock Mares stuff", which sounds pretty ominous.

I want to look at a new wetsuit and fins and I have no idea where to go. And I have to ask the question on a public forum (?)

Not to go into details, but I hope this explains it. Mares just recently opened our own direct distribution center in AU. This should help to increase our presence in the Australian market. This will take some time and we are working to update and increase our dealer listings in the Australian section of our dealer locator. In fact we just recently updated quite a few territories in the dealer locator within the last couple of days. Please check again and hopefully you will find new information.

Hello, I also am having a problem contacting mares. I have contacted my local dealer and they said they couldn't help and to
contact mares directly. However there is no info at all to contact them on there website. The problem i am having is with one of their pure instinct knives. When i did more research i found that the problem is quite common but everybody says the same thing, that they cant contact anyone at mares. If there is an address to write them or a number to call and speak to someone it would be greatly appreciated.

I am also needing to contact Mares directly as my dealer does not have any answers and he is also having difficulties finding contact info for you. FYI the dealer is "Mainley Scuba" located in Wilton, Maine, USA. Maybe you could put a "Contact Us" link on your website.....that would be very helpful to customers with situations like me. I have spent about 30 minutes now trying to find a way to call or email someone with no luck other then this forum.

I have just purchased a Puck Air w/compass and wanted to order 2 liquid skin mouth pieces (black/red) at the same time. My dealer does not have details for this product. I see the product online but can only find it in Europe and the one site I could purchase on will not sell to me and gives me this error

Hi Dawson,
We can be found on our website under the Sales Network tab at the top of the home page. While it is not obvious, we are there.

The liquidskin mouthpiece is a new product and we don't expect to have delivery until Jan. It is possible that some EU dealers may have them now due to proximity to our manufacturing and warehousing. N. America is generally about 30 - 45 days behind EU re: new products due to shipping schedules.

The EU dealer is correct about not being able to ship to the U.S. because Mares retail distribution policies have some geographic boundaries.

So, in short, thanks for your interest in this new product, it is going to prove to be very popular. There was alot of interest from our retailers at DEMA (industry trade show last month). I wish I could get you a couple sooner, but I would start looking for it around the 15th or so of Jan.

I am unable to contact Mares direct. I have a PUK watch I bought last year and the battery needs replacing. I have bought the correct battery for the watch, however the battery life lasts for less then 6 hours. Does anyone know why this is? Rather than Duracell do I need to buy a different battery? Help !! Please. Thanks.

If you are referring to a Puck wrist computer, the battery should last longer than 6hrs. If this is the case, I suggest you take it to the dealer you purchased it from or another local Mares dealer, with the receipt and have them inspect it. Your computer is under warranty for 2yrs.

Why does Mares not give any contact details (address, phone or email) on its web site, and no email address on its instruction manuals?

Why is it necessary to communicate with Mares through a public bulletin board such as this one?
I have One Mares phanton carbon 95 cm...I already cut,bruised,twisted and almost broke my fingers with the wishbone articulated bands...I had many mares guns backing in the 80's.I am trying to change the band for something that actually works...I contact one of the dealer that Mares have in Manhattan(leisure pro),it is a excelent diving shop...I got many supplies from them and I was always very happy with it...but The sells rep.told me this morning he never ever heard about my speargun..realy??I was able to order a reel for the gun( did not arrive yet)becouse the string that comes with is a joke...The speargun is pretty new..and I will put it way...becouse it does not work the way it is sold and I can't find a dealer that knows about it,to give me tips of what I should do...Right now I just wish I had got onother speargun instead Mares...it would be probably easier if you live in Italy...thanks,Jr.
 
Can someone send me a contact info for Mares that WORKS?

I am really disappointed with my new dive computer from them... they claim that software runs with Windows 7 6-bits but doesn't so I paid full price for something that doesn't work properly and support just doesn't know what to do (assumed that they tested at Win 7 32-bits though).

Crappy support... never again :(
