Yikes! That's just weird..... :)

Well, consider the source. Oh, right, you didn't meet him...
Jijiji! Just poking ya, T! :blinking:

Jajajajajaja! Ya snuck that reply in on me! You couldn't have drunk it anyway, even if Piccolo had bought it for you. Second base. Jajajajaja!

Wow...out come the slings and arrows all because I don't feel like posting my dive profile. Seriously, I don't feel like taking the time to do it...get past it..

He, he, he.... no body expects the Spanish Inquisition!

1 - No I didn't exercise before or after.
2 - my diagnosis was DCS Type II - skin bends
3 - initial treatment was US NAVY TABLE 6 - 4hrs 45 min in the chamber breathing 100% O2 with hydration
4 - follow up was US NAVY TABLE 9 - 2hrs 30min if I recall with 100% O2 more hydration

Thanks!

Well, that's not so bad I guess, if you had to get a hit, that sounds mild. (at least since I didn't have it it sounds mild, maybe not if you had to go through it!) Still effects you for 6 months of no diving which sucks.

If you want the symptoms, google skin bends (actually if it were me I'd DuckDuckGo the skin bends). Mine were pretty typical, itchiness and rash on upper torso as well as skin tenderness and swelling. Oh ya, I almost forgot...I had an awesome set of moobs. Women all around me were jealous..

 Yow!

An "injury" is when someone drops a tank on your foot and breaks a toe. An injury is when a moray bites your hand.

DCI does not stand for "decompression injury" it stands for "decompression illness". You got sick, apparently for no good reason. If there's no good reason why you got sick, there are only bad reasons.

The next time it happens to you may indeed be your last. Unlike a broken toe, which rarely has complications leading to paralysis or death, you can't say the same about DCI.

But hey, it's your life. As long as you feel that it's fine to get bent for no reason as long as DAN pays for the chamber ride, all the power to you :shakehead:
This from the guy who routinely dives severely hung over when he is on Cozumel? :D Or was that someone else?

What was disconcerting was Dr. P kept feeling them. Went right to 2nd base without even buying me a drink first.:perv:

Maybe he was trying to squeeze the nitrogen back into solution? Wonder if I could get the girls on the dive boat to buy that?

Yes, but he won't dive on a short visit to Coz, because he is have a beer with lunch..... :)

Wow, glad you are doing well, sucks to hear you took an undeserved hit.......!

I think most ppl were interested in your profile to see if you went deep or anything odd......the fact that you are healthy, dove nitrox etc etc is a little disconcerting to the rest of us.....good luck with the recovery!

Hey, whadda ya mean? :rofl3:

Ummmm.... Ohhhhh... Uhhhhh... Nothing! No, no. Nothing at all...

Sad, but true. Tonight, however, there are a couple of really nice Belgian beer in my fridge calling my name. I'll try not to drunk text you. :eyebrow:

C'mon! What girl doesn't enjoy a good drunk text?!!
A few dry days, those Belgians oughta sling you 'round a bit! Disfrutas MUY mucho!

dmeeve, wow, the moobs thing. I've had skin bends with marbling and my woobs didn't change at all. boo

Best of luck!!

gracias mi amiga. Lo haré. que tengas un buen noche

his diagnosis was that dehydration was the issue. I'm going to side with him if that's ok.
Unless he has some super x-ray vision, he's just guessing. Lots of divers dive dehydrated and don't get bent.

If you want the symptoms, google skin bends
I know what skin bends are. And they're not what you implied you had.

One of us must be the outlier. Me, the guy who routinely dives severely hungover and underhydrated, over 600 dives and never bent? Or the OP. I guess I'm just lucky, but I always attributed it to skill.

Yes, but he won't dive on a short visit to Coz, because he is have a beer with lunch..... :)
Why would you think I'd just have one beer with lunch? I've had lunch beers all the time in Bonaire, they make for very peaceful afternoon dives. However, if I'm on a cruiseship, by default I'll be staggering before I even get off the ship.
