I'm to lazy to remove it... If I do dive solo now.... It's on my own boat in a ice cold lake with not a diver within 200 miles... That really means I'm solo.. I'll dive my doubles with the aqua-master and the pony with the 109 on it, Or just put the double hose on the bc and dive without the inflator...

I'm one that likes the octo easy to grab by a OOA diver... I train with my wife for her to go right to the octo and start breathing... We don't swim right next to each other and I don't baby sit her... So it makes sense to just go right to the air source... I try to put some training into every dive , On the fly.. As I will just swim up to her and hand her my regulator to buddy breathe... Or push her purge button to act like a free flow.... I like to think she's pretty squared away...

I am looking about, I do not see anything at the moment but I am looking for a super light 18ish pound wing for my next ultra-minimalsit rig. I will not use any powered inflator on this (non-existent) wing. It will have a nice old manual inflator I have several of. Thus eliminating even the LP inflator hose. I had found a piece of titanium plate scrap at work and my boss surplussed (legit) it to me. I intend to make a mini plate with it eventually. N

Nice picture!

Now if you would just sell that old Pinto (you must be driving) maybe you could cash in and buy some life support gear that is not older than you boss at work. :D

Wow, what year is that? Thought if might be a '55 but looks wrong to me. Brings back childhood memories

Nice car!

I reread my post and thought it sounded like I was dumping on Eric a bit too harshly. It's nothing personal against him. I just think this question is a great discussion point in the solo forum because it's one of the few things we do that can effect other divers. As such I think it's worth having a healthy back and forth about the pro's and con's.

I also would like an AIR2 type device (which I consider an octo for myself because I could donate the primary) for my rig but am too cheap to buy one. If I ever find one I'll try it. I would bungee it around my neck and use it like a short hose second, donating my longhose. People who dump air from the power inflator might find that a PITA but I use the butt OPV for that.

I think I'm gonna ask around for one and experiment.

Thanks, my parents had a '55 before the '57, don't you wish you had all those cars

My newest build is a GM 250+ hp turbo 4 cyl with a 5 speed overdrive in a 1980 triumph spitfire.... The stock motor was 60 HP with a 4 speed... It should move along pretty good ....:D
