Hi everyone,
Im looking for a new BP/W for my gf. The two that I'm looking at are the Deep6 with 30lb wing and SS back plate and the VDH 35lb wing with stainless backplate.

For Backplate, harness, cam bands and wing they both cost pretty much the exact same (~$434) (no STA with deep6) (although Im buying new regs for my self from deep6 so I will get free shipping which makes it a bit cheaper.) I've seen many people love their VDH wings and everyone says the quality is great. I've also seen that the people that do have the deep6 BP/W seem to really like them but I haven't been able to find anyone actually comparing the two.

So my question is, which is the better BP/W?

Diving will be primarily cold water in a 7mm wetsuit or a dry suit in fresh water. It will also be used for some travel diving in the Caribbean.

Thanks

the deep 6 should dry a little quicker due to the coating, like the apeks psd wing. but in all likelihood both will work fine. the vdh shell is heavier and might be more durable in the long run. maybe take a look also at the redesigned DGX bpw.

I think it may be difficult to find a direct comparison because few people would need two wings of similar capacity. Also DGX also has a new wing out that may be worth a look.

That’s a slick package for the price
