Non made in China wetsuits?

Can you please recommend some wetsuits not made in China. I just received my Henderson Neosport stuff and the hood has a made in China label. I thought I was buying a US product. Sending it all back and need to rebuy. Which wetsuits aren't made in China?

Having looked at the Henderson website I was really surprised to see a made in China label.

With global trade being what it is, "buy [your country]" can be a challenge these days.

I think most folks would be very surprised of the country of origin of consumer goods that they regularly purchase. While I have occasionally declined to purchase something because of the country of origin, the decision has generally been linked to concerns re the quality of the item rather than the politics of the country.

Henderson clearly identifies that their Talon line of wetsuits are made in the USA.

You ordered a Neosport...I do not find any reference on the website that states Neosport being made in the USA.

Quality for sure, but buying from communist countries should be a concern. China's politics make me always seek an alternative if possible. While buying (insert your country) first should be at the top of the list, I personally believe at a minimum we should be supporting other representative republics. All my opinion of course.

The best quality wetsuits I've ever had are Yazbeck. They last. But they are made in southern China under the supervision of Roger Yazbeck.

there are some custom manufacturers like aquaflite, terrapin, and JMJ

or otter bay down in monterey if you don't mind the throwback look

but pretty much any mainstream stock will be made in china due to labor cost

These guys have been around since the 70's, although they have changed hands. Great suits, but they are not as cheap as others.

In many cases, while your suit may be assembled in the US, the neoprene will come from China, Taiwan, or Japan. By now I'd bet that other countries like Vietnam are also making the suit material. As long as it does what it's supposed to, I don't care where it's made. It's one planet after all.
