you guys need to do more studies and see that masks are really like 5% effective. There’s a lot of studies out there if you’re willing to actually listen to science and not just what your government says to do.
Please, share them. As to the rest of your points, your feelings are not relevant to the question.

I traveled quite irresponsibility and ended up catching covid.
Fixed that for you.

I AM a scientist; I can explain the science to you, but I cannot understand it for you.
You might be better off reading non-biased sources, and drawing your own conclusions rather than quoting erroneous conclusions others have made, like:
masks are really like 5% effective

It's interesting to see that the majority of the active posters here on SB is pro-restriction, anti-travel and extremely quick to judge someone with a different opinion, with terms like selfish, idiot, etc.

I've been restricted in almost everything for a year now. Followed the rules. Masks, no travel, no holiday, curfew. Not even shopping, although that has been impossible for weeks now.
I have seen how society became divided between pro-vaccine and anti-vaccine, and the first group has a loud and clear presence in this board.

So what have all these restrictions done for your immune system? I know, lots of people around, who are not healthy. Lots of chronic diseases, and mankind has managed to keep all kinds of genetic defects alive for decades. Until now, while nature has been winning from medical science during the last year.
There's vaccines around, but without proven trials and study results (and loads of opinions about that as well). And a small percentage of the vaccinated elderly dies within days (of course not from the vaccine).

Anyone who travels now, is convicted here as irresponsible. Usually by people who are afraid of the virus.
Anyone who does not want a sars-cov-2 vaccine, is convicted here as irresponsible. Because that person is (supposedly) putting others at risk. Arguments from those afraid of the virus.

A year of covid has passed.
A whole year to do something about your health.
A whole year to strengthen your immune system.

And yes, I feel really sorry for you if you're part of that high-risk group. But how fracking difficult is it to stop blaming the healthy for that? Blame your own health first, blame mother nature next. Because I'm not taking you out of the gene pool, mother nature is doing that.

Travel will be possible again. Initially for the vaccinated people, eventually for those with a normal functional healthy immune system. Because if that immune system doesn't work, the vaccine won't do sh!t for you. And you can hide, but eventually sars-cov-2 will knock on everyones door. Mother nature is a bitch.....

And now back to the usual pro-vaccine, pro-restriction and anti-travel programming....

i travel solo, i travel with my family. we are mindful of what we touch, keep our masks on, and have given up on the habit of licking things that don't belong to us. We stay away from crowded destinations, stay in homes, not hotels, and respect the local mandates. I have actually made the flight to and from Cozumel without touching anything other than myself.
