American does NYC - MIA - CUR - that's what we usually do because if there is a problem, at least there is more than one flight.

We saw numerous seahorses when in Curacao -over the last few years. One dive - unfortunately I can't remember the site, I was super sea sick from the boat ride and was happy to be under water - there were 5 sea horses on one dive and while everyone was celebrating I was glad I was not puking...

Sorry I just saw this - it's kid friendly in that there is great television service, the villas are big with 2-3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and full kitchen/terrace. We stayed in Villa 4 - about zero minutes walk to the beach - it was right there. they have a pool - no kids club that I am aware of...

cheapest isn't always the best

Blue Bay offered us some great diving while we were there as well - great shop with great people and awesome shore diving.

we usually do the same thing - instant upgrade on american airlines is often pretty close to the coach fares, plus free bags checked, food, drinks, and a good nap make for an early arrival in curacao - we just got back a few weeks ago from staying at blue bay. it worked well!

I know...don't worry -this will be our 6th trip to Curacao. But, actually, i prefer boat dives unless I'm shore diving a house reef - just a personal preference. I'm just trying to get a bit more info on blue bay - what it's like to stay there, and the house reef.

The boat dives don't go out every day, I was told they go out two to three times a week, but shore diving in Curacao is amazing and since the House reef at the Hilton, and Habitat where we have stayed before is awesome, I am sure the house reef at Blue Bay will be awesome too.

And that's why I fly American in the states until I get to to either Curacao and Bonaire and go local from there...

Oh ok you're right - Bon Dia - and, this will be our i think 7th trip...we used to stay at Hilton before Ocean encounters went there, then off to Habitat, and now to Blue Bay - well aware of how awesome the diving is! Just looking for some intel on the hotel.

This is why we have decided to stay away from Bonaire as well - it's just not worth the hassle anymore.
