No, I did not mean that we should never dive deeper than 60'. My point was that a lot of emphasis is sometimes placed on the narcotic effects of the deep dive, and if you're deep enough on air to notice the narcotic effect or be significantly impaired by it, then perhaps air isn't the best...

One could argue the need for a "deep dive" component anyway. So, the point is going deep enough on air to show that you are impaired? What is so important about that? It's well known that reasoning and reaction times are impaired when you go deeper on air. It's like that drunk driver simulator...

Wow... I guess I got off easy with the 50' breath hold! Apparently it's all in technique and being relaxed (vs. going for speed), but I'm still working at comfortably doing greater than 50' :).

I guess it could be an entanglement hazard :) . I beleive wet notes are preferred because they are easy to write on, you can hand them to other people to read or write on (as opposed to your arm!), you can tear them off and attach them to things, and they stow away nicely. I'm sure there are...
