    Scubaboard meets & trips.

I would definately be interested in meeting up with some fellow UK divers. Full weekends away require a bit of planning care of the family but a trip to Wraysbury would be great. Beer is always a good option...

    'Twinverts'

went to a tech talk a while ago and this issue was brought up. One major problem that was discussed was the difficulty in getting to the valves when you start adding in side mounts.

Bikini Atoll, deep air for everyone

Following link gives the deep dives offered in the Bahamas http://www.smallhope.com/CTSD/CTSD.html I enquired about their facilities about 2 years ago. Mix was not available and the nearest chamber was on another island. Suffice to say I went elsewhere.

    mauritius

Dived there in June this year. Stayed at La Pirogue on the West coast and used the dive centre there. Diving was generally excellent. We were fortunate to be there when there was number of experienced divers so the dive centre could offer a number of the deeper dives that are not usually...

    AOW Electives WHICH ONES?!?!?!?

Scuba446 Seems to be a spot of confusion between the specialties and the AOW. The way PADI has set up the system is that you have to do 5 speciality dives to gain the AOW cert, of which deep and navigation are compulsory. The specialty courses are courses of 2 to 4 dives (some are non-diving...

First Time Diver Sharm el sheik worries

JK, You will have a ball in Sharm and most of the dive sites are superb. Many of the sites are quite busy but it is very unlikely to cause any difficulties or spoil your enjoyment at all. Some places, particularly Near Garden and Temple are a little smashed up but there is still a mass of...

    Online Diving Courses

Padi's website is currently running a survey about offering courses online. This can surely mean that this is very much in the pipeline. As far as I am concerned, it is vital that diving is taught by people so as to be able to explain problems, answer questions and add the value of experience...

    PADI Gas Blender course

Many people out there are very interested in learning about all the facets of diving. The desire to understand gas blending does not require the person to want to actually fill cylinders. I dive Nitrox and am a PADI instructor. I have no intention of blending personally but took the IANTD...

    What is your Scuba-Mobile?

Went to Bermuda a couple of years ago where you cannot hire cars, only scooters. I have been from one end of the island to the other in a wet suit, wearing a BCD, Regs round my neck and everything else strapped to the back in a goodie bag. Mask and snorkel in place obviously to prevent fly...

    Desktop Dive Flag

Stone, Nice ICONs, look good with my cave diving windows background. Had a look at some of the other stuff on there. You might want to state that the "gas limit" on the NDL sheets does not include any reserve or ascent gas. I'd be careful with copywrited PADI/DSAT material too!!!! DD
