47 meters on the AOW deep dive? Wow. I've got a few more dives than the OP, but there'll be very good skiing conditions in a certain place before I go to 47m. Particularly on a single tank with a single 1st stage.

@Jay B., you should seriously consider taking it a bit easier with the deep dives, at least for a while. In addition to the increased risk associated with depth, particularly for a diver with your level of experience, 47m is narcosis country for many divers. Recent research also indicates that CO2 retention becomes a potential problem somewhere between 30 and 40m. CO2 retention is not something you want to experience.

About gas density and CO2 retention:
there is a significant inflection in risk around 6g / L.
Air reaches 6 g/L at 36-37m.
