Scared Silly:
From the DIR perspective is using a swivel bolt snap the only acceptable solution? I am currently using a hook and pile to "clip" my primary off.
Can it be operated with one hand?

DIR-Atlanta:
Or if you were breathing from a stage or deco bottle, or using a rebreather with OC available as bailout/backup.

Yes. you are right, dont know why I forgot about these.

The only incidence of this I have heard described was GI on the first set (?) of GUE DVDs where he and JJ are having a fireside chat. He talkas about a cave where the silt was so fine that it built up in the boltsnaps and they jammed.

It:s obviously unlikely, but why not plan for such a contingency since it doesn't take much effort...

Yes, you would have to be in that cave for sooooooo long to have all that fine silt build up to the extend that it jams.... GI has the tendency to be dramatic as well.....:11:

Sorry for the confusion - I am used to using the descriptive name. Velcro is a trademarked brand name for hook and pile (saying velcro is akin to saying Xerox copy when meaning photocopy). There are many other examples of trademarked brand name being used incorrectly for the descriptive name.

Okay that said, has anyone come across some really small swivel bolt clips that are 1/4"? I have seen some that are brass? I have some 3/8 but even they seem big.
