I've always had this image for a scuba shirt, that goes something like this: You've seen those pictures that have a lineup with a fish, then an amphibian crawling on a beach, then a reptile, an early mammal, a primitive ape, and a person, kinda like they're all walking up out of the ocean? I'd add as the next level of evolution a guy in scuba equipment heading back into the water...
