First Turret style 1st Stage. Up or down?

I purchased my first turret style 1st stage (D3 HOG). I was just about to start attaching hoses & it dawned on me that, in theory, it [will] go either way.

There is no right direction. Up, down, left, right, diagonal. That said, I personally prefer the turret to be pointing down even if at an angle.
 
For Apeks DST it is always UP for me.
If used on a deco bottle then it is diagonal.
Personal preference.
Tried it and then make your own decision.
