There are enough materials on IWR for you to digest.
Perhaps you ought to get yourself trained and bring along all the necessary equipment on board so as to calm your clients!
We do not run live aboards but it could be an alternative for our Weda Resort and Magic Bay Rao. Although approved equipment could be a problem. Fortunately we never had a case of DCS which did not end well since we started in 1997. Further, I am not sure yet how the Indonesian law and the insurrance companies would look at it if something goes wrong.

Load of bullocks. If you're healthy, you're chances of dying are very slim. The majority of covid patients don't need medical facilities, just need to isolate and recover, doesn't matter what country

What are the symptoms of extreme panic & anxiety?...shortness of breath/difficulty breathing and hyperventilation, heartbeat irregularities... I don't think it's smart at all to continue to frighten people to death with the tiring, fear inducing rhetoric

If people don't want to go to Indonesia because it's beneath their medical standards, just stay at home because you are all a very minute minority, who Indonesia can go on without you visiting, and millions of others will continue to visit there anyways
Chances of dying from a panick itelf attack are almost zero. And fear is a total personal topic. Nothing can frighten you if you do not allow it to happen. People all have different perceptions of risks. Sharks, DCS, cancer, smoking, alcohol, Covid-19. The fear of these "dangers" are not really based on science. Otherwise women would not drink alcohol, nobody would smoke and so on. How many divers die because of DCS? How many in motorbike crashes at Bali? It does not help anybody to compare these facts. But if you think about hiring a motorbike you could consider the fatalities in motorbike accidents and if your driver license really is valid here. If you ever had DCS you will look at the risks different than somebody else, I guess. Dan, how many people visited Bali the first year after the Bali bombs? How many during SARS, while there was no obstacle at all put in place by any governement to visit Indonesia? That is how many peoples mind work.

Hi Indah and DUDan,

There is a body of information on this subject in the public realm. Big SCUBA names are associated with these articles and they have even authored some. The information is available for those who wish to create a contingency plan for their long range diving vessels.

Have these operators created the contingency planning and training for IWR? Dunno...

Please look at the numbers in Belgium and the Netherlands
Those numbers do not exist. A panic attack is no cause of death. But can be risky if you are under water or driving your car.
Panic disorder "Although panic attacks are frightening, they're not dangerous. An attack won't cause you any physical harm, and it's unlikely that you'll be admitted to hospital if you have one."
