I also like a 6' primary. I had a 5' hose, but it pulls being an XL guy and I replaced it with a 6'. My other option is adding a swivel, but I think that defeats the part of the purpose.

Thanks, Scubagolf !!!

'preciate it . . .

Just curious, why are you guys avoiding the 7' hose?

Is it because you have to tuck it under a pair of shears or maybe a can light? I would say I prefer my 7' hose now (Have used a 5' too) since it gets trapped under my light on the right side and I can adjust the play in it, simply by pulling it back under my can light.

I have been avoiding the 7' hose since even 5-6' is a pain on the boat / shore. It like a snake, always moving where I don't want it even with a clip to the D-Ring. If it was not so nice underwater and mated with the bungee octo, I would revert to a standard setup.

I'm quite small and before I bought my Miflex set I measured my ideal lengths for the five hoses

And, the best long hose length for me is 180cm
but, my options were either 150cm (too short) or 210cm (too long) to HOG route using my shears case as a 'right hip hook'

So, I ordered the 210cm

I then called the UK distributor and he told me that they do not manufacture the 180cm as standard

But, I had two options ...

1) make a special order costing just under twice the price
2) buy a 150cm + 30cm + a connector

If you want the 180cm, they will make you a 180cm

Not avoiding the 7' hose, that's what I have, but a 6' hose would be more appropriate for the type of diving that I do.

A six footer is great for a "NON DIR DIVER" who likes to use the long hose configuration.

Five feet just feels a little too short.

I wouldn't mind a 6' Miflex LP hose either... (or even a 5' 6" one).

I've got the 5' and it's a little snug. Adding a XS Scuba "90" helped some. those are about $30 bucks. (or Dive Right for almost twice the cost).

I just bought a 7ft the other day since they were on sale. I'm going to try that and see how I like it.

Personally, I think it would be a great marketing coup for someone such as Zeagle, Divers-Supply, Hollis or some other scuba entity to introduce it.

Just a thought.
