I just have the medic first aid from Rescue. Is it possible for a "layman" to get EMT training if they do not intend to pursue a career? Is it realistic to be able to fit it into a full time career? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Ken

yes it is to be honest , I teach paramedic and basic EMT class's at local college , allot of people take it and volunteer at local rescue squad or fire depts but yes it is a good class to just have some of the knowledge too also allot of states are now teaching a medical responder course shorter than emt but very much same material .
