I certified at 40 and that was 20 years ago. Yep - and my Avatar picture was taken one year ago - yep I'm showing off.

Now it's cave diving. Hope to get a new avatar in the Centoes of the Yucatan in May. Whopee, new stuff to see.

Did my OW class and dives when I was 33 almost 34. Have just been diving a little over 2 years. Wish I would have done it long ago.

I was certified in 1970 at age 16 and had a wonderful time diving. I was recertified in 1997 with my 12 year old son. The resultant, nearly 500 dive, are wonderful history. My wife and daughter subsequently became certified and we've been diving together for 8 years. Needless to say, I'm a happy man.

Good diving, Craig

13 or 14... not quite sure of the date I first used SCUBA. That was almost 50 years ago... my how time flies!

25 years ago at the tender age of 17

My wife and I started together at the age of 42.

Subscribed to SkinDiver back in the 80's. While on Abaco,Bahamas ran into Skeet LaChance who was featured in one of the articles. Did a Discover Scuba thing with him and loved it. Also loved my wife(more than once)since we soon had 4 kids and lots of bills .Finally in '03, three of my kids(10,11,15) and I,at 45 became certified. Believe me, diving with your kids is the GREATEST.
