A good friend in High School was named Harold and went by Harry. I think I was the only person he confided his middle name to: Richard.

Yup, Harry Dick.

Given names like that should be justification to divorce your parents.
 
I had forgotten - one of my father's childhood friends was Harold (Harry) Butts...
 
Since this thread got revived . . . My uncle told my cousins never to name a daughter Barb. . . . their last name is Dwire.

A beauty parlor in Honolulu is called "Yucks" after the owners last name.

I'm one-fourth Deadman (some would argue more than that).....it was my paternal grandmother's maiden name. But her cousin was Dr. Deadman, Pathologist.
