Do you guys have any idea for how long the SST-50 can be used in the dry before it overheats?
I think it has a protection, but better be safe than sorry...

10-15 mins depending on the ambient temperature and then it will shut off. The entire body including the head is warm to touch.
 
has anybody been diving with this torch yet - over in the UK they seem to have issues with flooding

I think Novae is just a couple of guys who are importing and selling lights.
