I had this happen to a perdix I had bought. Shearwater fixed and explained that the design from early models was prone to this so they changed the design to prevent it. As they get sent in they upgrade to the newer design.

I’ve never seen this defect reported before or know of anyone who has experienced this - I wonder if it was a recent production issue with out of spec components?
I got mine used last year, so its not that new. No idea how long previous owner had it

To provide an update for whoever ready here next: Shearwater did recommend sending the computer for service, and stated it is NOT safe to dive. Sesmingly the button is the seal

Same issue happens to me on a new perdrix, rigth out of the box... Had to send it back

Another update from my side:
Narked@90 have repaired my computer, and decided it was under warranty! 👏
I did purchase the computer used more than a year ago, so very happy with that outcome!

Noticed today the edge of button lifted. Obviously needs repair but wondering if anyone experienced this, do they know why it happened and what they did about it? The computer still works as normal. But the selector button is loose/squishy now.
My perdix AI from purchased in march 2020 just had similar issue. Right hand select button actually became detached but wires still connected and working. There was no obvious damage or even a scratch in this area seemed to be an internal crack in plastic that attached to unit. Fortunately it happened as I was preparing for a dive. Shearwater handled it immediately and even offered a loaner. Great service.
