That works, and I sometimes use WD40 Silicone, definitely not the spray oil.

"might be"? Meaning you have not tried yet?

Each and every perfectly fitting fin will be a bit of a challenge to doff. Takes a bit of getting used to.

Could it be the closed toe foot pocket creating a vacuum you when try to pull out the shoe? Have you tried an open toe foot pocket fin like the GoSport?

Fin pockets can easily be expanded. Just buy a "shoe stretcher" on Amazon.....insert it to full expansion and then heat up the foot pocket with a heat gun or blow dryer as you continue to expand the mechanism. Go slow and remember that small moves are key. Once expanded, you can't go back.
