Truly, the River is charmed!

Water temp is down to 45F. Viz is really bad for this time of year, got 15 feet today in Morrisburg and same last week in Prescott.

Quite a change from two weeks ago when we had around 30 ft or so. I was also surprised about what we got today diving the Lock 23 system

i'm doing open water check outs this weekend
i hope the snow brightens things up!!!!
still warmer water now than in the spring-45* is very slow coming!!!!!!
we dived the keystorm and america sunday before last and the viz was great!!!!
wonder what screwed it up???

Jim,

we will be talking as the ice grows.

Here is an update to the river conditions. Temps are at about 35* F in A-Bay this weekend. Vis was pretty good at about 60-70' top to bottom. And the most important stats, beer is still good at Skiff's afterwards!!! Happy New Year's all.

Yep!!!Found a small leak in the right wrist seal. As soon as it dries repairs will be made. Only problem I have is leaving for another job in the Carolina's this Sat morn. Will have to check it out in a couple of weeks. Hate to miss the weekend dives this time of year. Love the vis and it's just plain fun doing the deep drift in 35* F water!!! Of course the company(buddies) and extra curricular activities(refreshments) helps!! :D
