I bet that they had to clean the cob webs and dust off of it.

Possibly so that someone might, despite their better judgement, feel enticed to buy one.

I don't think you could pay me to take one of these.

texashark:
Divers Direct has the dacor hub BC on for $499.
This is a big discount, I think.
Why?
Are they phasing these BC's out for a newer model?
Have they had problems with them?
Seems suspicious, or am I overly skeptical?

they dont sell. thats why they lowered the price. only an uneducated tool would buy one...

Well, forgive the uneducated.
My old BC and regulators have been working quite nicely for 15 years and this new-fangled gear is a mystery to me.
However....Now I know I don't want an HUB, and I'll keep my old out of style gear that still works.

Dont mind Boogie he means well but was attacked by a HUB when he was a small child and still holds a grudge. :eyebrow: :11ztongue

I wasn't trying to be meanspirited, and I'm sorry if anyone felt that way. I was just saying - do a search. That's it. In other words - don't just take my word for it.

There was a lengthy discussion on the pitfalls of HUB-ism on this board.
