You might make money for doing it, but there is no point system that I am aware of.
In reality it doesen't count for anything. What it does is increase our certification count which is needed to become different grade of instructor.
25 for MSDT
150 for MI
Of course there are other requirements that must also bet met for the different levels
But it is a nice achievment for you.
