Why don't we get started by listing our rigs and a photo if you have one.

I'm using....
Oly C-5050
Fisheye Tray with Infinity arm
S&S YS90DX strobe
S&S WA 'L' lens

I upgraded from a C-4040 so alot of it is familiar but there's has definately been a learning curve, mostly on using the jog dial configuration.

Oly C5050z
PT-015 Housing (the "Fisher-Price" one, LOL)

ummmm...

that's it so far, I am still planning the next purchase!

PS - Using Photoshop Elements to digitally "develop", still have a lot to learn there as well.

I have a untried C5050 and Pt-015, something I am going to remedy in March.
The Strobe will have to wait but I am thinking of going ahead and adding a tray just for the something to hang on to.

Wet

* Lowepro & Manfroto bags
* A zillion Sanyo 2300 NiMH batts and a couple of Lightning Chargers

Did I mention that eBay rules?

Still working out my transportation system for my Wet rig. I saw Dee's, and I like that set up. I'm not a big fan of Pelican cases for this stuff - too James Bond and simply too big. I may get the LowePro splash-proof backpack for this. I want to remain a one-take Jake and be able to get on and off a 3 day boat in one trip (Dive Bag, Tank, clothes) so a Backpack photo bag may be in my future. I've always used a top-entry shoulder bag for the Land rig.. but deployment isn't an issuse for the Wet rig - just transportation. I would love to know how you folks are getting your rigs to the dive sites.

This Sunday will be my first day in the water with the wet rig.

I'm in the process of setting up the 4 MyMode settings - 1 for land, and the other three for underwater. The improved menu functions on the C5050 are just smokin. Here is a good site for some assistance and recommendations on setting up your MyMode settings. There is so much good stuff here you just need to go and explore... its great.

Another great site I found is here. Not a lot of techie stuff...just some sound basics about UW shooting. Well, it sounded good to me.

I've emmassed a huge list of sites, references and URL's - it might be helpful soon for us to start a thread (like Saf did) where we can put our fav references and links into... so we can share the stuff we've found.

This is gonna be fun.

I started taking pictures when we got our digital cameras.
In the beginning of September 2003 we purchased:

Stylus 400
PT-016
2 64mb xd Chips (fuji, came with camera)
1 16mb xd Chip (Olympus, came with camera)

After the Olympus class in mid september we added:

c5050z
1 32mb xd (Olympus, came with camera)

and in mid November we purchased

PT015 (always out of stock!)

in December we upgraded our memory:

1 512mb Viking CF

As you all know we lost a camera on 12-31-03 (in repair) and now have a replacement with a second 32mb xd chip.

Roger has a couple of strobes from his 35mm cameras and I have used the Sea & Sea Yellow Sub 50 with the c5050z twice. Thinking about up grading to an Inon and also getting a couple of lenses.

I work on the pictures with Photoshop Elements and Microsofts Picture It!
I save all pictures to CD and save thumbprints on our computer with Extensis Portfolio.

That's about it!

Aloha,
Lisa
