A nice cold beer downed in about 3 swigs! I dive then drink. Usually between dives I'm drinking flavored water or an energy drink, between stuffing food in my mouth.

On a dive trip once the diving is finished for the day, one cold beer and that is it until dinner when I will either have another beer or a glass of wine and possibly a tot of rum as a nightcap. :D

Locally I have a two hour drive back home before I have my beer so I usually have some 100 Plus or Pocari Sweat in summer or green tea in winter :D

It depends on the Dive. If I've been in decompression, I don't have anything carbonated for 24 hours. As most of my diving is deep, I usually just drink water or Gatorade to replace electrolytes. If I've been looking at the fish in shallow warm water and nitrogen absorption isn't an issue, I'll hazard a beer or single malt.

In Austria, they'd tell you that drinking beer after a dive helps with off gassing. They called it "deco beer". Everyone knew that it wasn't true, but heck, it's a good reason to lie to yourself :)

Deco beer... I have to remember to tell my wife that when I bring home the 12 pack. "But honey it is to help me off gas and is a safety measure."

cant drink beer any more, but believe that beer after diving is good for you as long as you also hydrate with water.
The liver is evil and must be punished.
