Wing for tall person

Why is this?

Just to clarify, he was saying don't buy a Dive Rite Rec EXP (or Rec XT) wing for that. Not "don't buy a recreational wing".

I have a DR Rec EXP wing and it works great with my double steel 120s. Those are 7.25" tanks. I probably would not use that wing for 8" doubles or any single tank setup.

Are there wings which are better suited to taller people? I’m 6’5 205lbs.
Do some wings allow you sit higher above the water at the surface?

A wing with more lift will let you sit higher. But, that is not usually a good reason to buy a higher lift wing...

the type of wing that "might" be better for a tall person would be taller. This would allow for the air to be along more of the axis of the body, potentially aiding in offsetting the possibility of the legs being longer (heavier)...

At 6'7", I am "leg heavy", and do notice a shorter wing not being as much to my liking.

Perhaps the benefit of me liking a narrow wing is that it tends to be longer.

Not at all what is being marketed in the item above....

I have been primarily diving OxyCheq MachV 30# wings for a number of years in cold waters here for single tank. That being said, I have recently used an 18# VDH for warm water, and find it a very nice wing. Had I been starting from scratch, and needing a wing, VDH would likely be my choice as I find them a parallel to the OxyCheq, and cost less. I (a diving family) also have a HOG 23 & 32 and a HOG 50 doubles, DSS LCD 30, Deep6 20 & 30, and a Dive Rite CCR.

HOG and DR are short and wide, Oxy, DSS, & VDH are long and narrow.
