And for the record, I really like Dive Rite overall and have owned three of their wings, two backplates, nomad, primary light, fins, blah blah, all of which I was/am happy with, service is always great, and they are a great home grown company churning out at least some US made gear. And if I wasn't such a hardcore hater of the current industry stance on self service (with a strong feeling that it is not the liability that is the issue) I would have tried the XTs out as a potential upgrade. They made their choice and have their reasons, have to respect that.

To be fair, even if you go the other brand you can't just go to the site an download the manual without taking a service class first (or that is the way it's supposed to be anyway). But, at least that option exists and so do the parts.

Would I buy DR gear other than the new regulators? Yes.

I hear you, me too, in fact I just bought some EXP XT fins.
