Are all HID's the basically the same?

That's one of the great things about the SOLUS light through case charging, so you don't need to open it in the field. I was told the burn time for the 50% is around 5+ hours, about 2.5 hours at 100%. I can't see myself doing more than a 4 hour dive :) Talk to Edd at Cave Adventurers if you...

Are all HID's the basically the same?

I actually just bought an LED primary by Solus...Su-2500. I saw one in the water and it was extremely bright with a great color distribution. It has two settings 100% and 50%. In its low setting its just a bit less bright than a 21W HID.

    Looking for a Cave Instructor

Yeah, you pretty much have to go to either Missouri/Flordia/Mexico. I would recommend Johnny Richards, he is an excellent instructor. Here is his website http://www.cavediving.com It explains locations, training requirements, gear requirments, and training progression in the cave diving...

    Dry suit

I do agree that resistance does follow you, but it seems to only bothersome in high flow (like I said in my opinion). Standard config one vent on left arm and filler on chest obviously with latex seals (otherwise it would be a semi-dry suit, which I have no experience with). Save yourself...

    Dry suit

The biggest thing that will help you (strickly my opinion) is getting a drysuit with feet that fit somewhat close to yours. The feet tend to collect air if they are oversized, which is what my problem was. I did all my training in dry suit for cave, since I lived in colorado. The only other...

    stance on ankle weights?

I hate to admit this, but I have used the "crutch" of ankle wieghts in the past. I agree with many of the comments, try to get away from them. Suggestions: Small changes...Big result (take a change at a time, dive it, then decide where you need to go) Heavy tanks carry more momentum...

The best all around Dive Light

I too would like to put my vote on the OMS lights, they are small, light weight, and they definately provide ample life in the cave enviroment, as well as convience on mounting to your plate and ease of use. Hands down it is the brightest light of any of my diver partners, but I have never had...

    Bikini Atoll

Does anyone know if trimix is available there yet, or is just deep air diving? Just incase you want a 6,000 dollar vacation instead of 3,000 :D
