Both the 165 and 330 say that "high magnification close-up photography possible by shortening the close focus distance, allowing the photographer to get closer to the subject", so that doesn't really explain the difference is (that's from Inon America by the way, not Inon themselves). But...

For that reason alone, I'd say the G9/Ikelite setup is better than the G10. Could see this happening though. The 28mm lens (I'm guessing) is causing too much vignetting? Plus, I don't know of any wet WA lenses that work on a 28mm lens (and have a 67mm thread). I had the G7 for a few years...

I had the same problems with my G7 Ikelite housing. Sent it back to be fixed at one point (which from Australia is a pain, I was without my housing for months during summer!!!). Afterwards, the problem buttons worked 90% of the time, but was still be no means perfect. Recently upgraded...

From what I've seen, FL seems to have some great diving (not that I've been to the US yet). Must be one of the only places off the US with warm clear water, right? We're fairly lucky here, not too far from the tropics, although Brisbane is about an hour away from the caost. Good call...

Another thought, I know a few people have mentioned they're going to sell their DS-125's with the release of the DS-160. Might be worth keeping an eye on the clasifieds here and on wetpixel.com (or even putting up a WTB post).

I had a DS-51 with my G7/Ike kit. It performed OK, but there were a few times when I borrowed a DS-125, and it was amazingly better. The DS-51 is OK with macro, but not great with WA. I came second in a local shootout earlier in the year using a DS-125, which I'm sure made all the difference...
