I guess if you can squeeze 6 people and 12 bags into 1 cab, this makes sense, maybe. For 2 people, the shuttle is $16 vs $12 for the cab. Dragging bags down the street in the heat or rain is not worth $4 to me.

We'll be at SCC next Feb and will definitely be doing a few shore dives. First one for sure to check buoyancy, but what exactly are the shore dives like at SCC ? Depth ? Is there much of a current ? Do you start south and drift back ? Is it mostly sand ? This will be out 5th trip to Coz so we're...

Assuming I can request a room in advance of our trip next Feb, 2009, can someone suggest what room I should ask for ? It will be a double room, sunset view would be nice, quiet. What room would you request or are they all pretty much the same ? Thanks.

Same here but next Feb l'll find out what's behind the walls. We're booked at SCC Feb 7-21. It will be our 5th trip to Cozumel but in the past we have always stayed at the south end. SCC always gets good reviews and it looks like this will be a nice change from previous trips.

Could someone suggest a good Cozumel dive op that provides or can arrange for a day trip to the mainland for cenote diving. What would be the approx cost, what does this include, what cenotes should be dived, any other info or suggestions you might think useful. Thanks.

It's usually more convenient to use the onsite dive op.

I could be wrong...but I tend to agree with Caribdiver. DNC's post is a little suspicious...(9 trips to Cozumel, member since November 2003, 1 rave post). I did not dive with Raul but he has a great reputation. I did dive with BlueXTSea and Christi is great. So...DNC...que pasa ???
